When registering as a Business Joe customer we additionally require some information relating to your business including business tradename, business category and and a range of contact details for the business (to include at least a phone number, business email address and business postal address (including post-code). In creating your listing you may also provide additional information (if applicable) such as website address, VoIP identifier and VoIP provider and mobile number. For the purposes of any payments and subscriptions our payment solutions provider (at this time WorldPay) requires information such as your credit card number. For further information regarding what information our payment provider requires please see their details displayed on the payment page at time of subscription.
We gather this information to allow us to process your registration and to authenticate you when you login to the website. The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and sub-contractors to provide the services of I Use Joe in general, to manage your account and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the conduct of your account. In particular when you post a review we will publish your comment and the ratings you assigned to this business (or comment on a business) together with your full name and the town in which you live as specified to us at the time of your registration. Additionally we will calculate statistics based upon the ratings submitted which we will then use to provide the services offered by I Use Joe Limited such as determining average scores for the ratings received for a particular business and determining average scores for a type of business category in a given geographical area or set of areas. To support our on-line address book feature we enable our users to add contacts to their address book by sending an email to the contact they wish to add. Depending on the type of contact specified (personal, personal to business or business to business) we will release different information from the contact to you and from you to the contact. You are able to control what information is released when requesting to add the contact. The contacted party is able to accept or reject the request to be added as a contact (and hence to release their contact details). In the particular case of a “personal to business” contact interaction we share only your name and the town in which you live with the contact. This information (together with information that I Use Joe holds that is NOT released to the business owner) may further be used by I Use Joe to enable the business owner to create a targeted advert or customer survey that will be displayed within the I Use Joe website. At any time during your interactions with I Use Joe we may record the IP address we see used to access the site. The linkage between the IP address used and the user account used is not published at any time on the I Use Joe website however we may use this information for internal I Use Joe purposes such as site maintenance and investigation of any use of the site we believe to be in contravention of the Terms and Conditions. We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual. I Use Joe uses Google Analytics to monitor website usage.
